More Books
Any fans of Elizabeth Peter’s Amelia Peabody series?
I just bought nº3 – The Mummy Case and I’m looking forward to start it. From what I’ve been hearing on several groups I have many good books to read till the end of the series. And... I’ve just requested the first of her Vicky Bliss series from Bookmooch. Life is good!
PS: And I still have one or two Barbara Michaels’s books in the TBR pile. I’ll never understand why authors write under different names, it’s awfully confusing me thinks!

In my enormous TBR pile I have the first one in the Vicky Bliss series and the first one in the Amelia Peabody series. So many books and so little time! ;-)
ReplyDeleteYou are so right!!
ReplyDeleteI've read 8 of the Amelia Peabody books, and 1 of the Vicky Bliss books. I haven't got to Barbara Michaels yet...but I will!
ReplyDeleteMe, me, me! Love her, in all her incarnations!
ReplyDeleteThe Amelia Peabody series is lots of fun, but I sort of quit around book 8 or 9. It was still fun and she developed characters but somehow got tired of it. The Vicky Bliss series I adore, but a warning, you don´t have to read it by order, i did not. And the first book is sort of a standalone and does not have my favorite character ( make that my favorite character of all her books). The last book of that series is Night Train to memphis, my favorite of all her books. I so wish she would write another book of this series instead of those endless Amelias....
ReplyDeleteforgot to add, don´t forget the Jacqueline Kirby series, I love it as well, very quirky but speciallyt funny for book lovers. Includes a book set in a romance novel convention, brilliant - if you wanna read it lemme know ;) BTW this is giving me completist syndrome for both those series.
ReplyDeleteDon't tempt me Teresa, if you don't take care I'm going to borrow your whole library ;-)
ReplyDeleteI've read one of the Jacqueline Kirby's the one about Richard III but not the others. I'm going to investigate them!
