Portuguese Historical Fiction Challenge - Reading Suggestions

This is a list of reading suggestions for the Portuguese Historical Fiction Challenge. I thought it would be nice to have the titles all in one place although I will probably create a Goodreads list with them too. While I don't, we can use this to check for titles/authors to read.

And how is the challenge coming along? I have yet to start my first book but I promise I will soon...

    Isabel Ricardo - O Último Conjurado
    Richard Zimler - O Último Cabalista de Lisboa

    And this one too, although the author is Brazilian and most of the action takes place in Brazil, it starts in Portugal and the events in it changed the course of both countries' history:
