What's On Your Nightstand

I must confess that this month did not go well for me. Not only did I totally forget that this was the day to post my reads as I have been reading a lot less than usual and so the pile from last month still hasn't been totally read. Both the Road to Jerusalem and the The Guernsey Literary and Potato Pie Society are from last month's pile.

So I just added 3 more books, The Convenient Marriage is actually a reread as it is one of my favourite Heyers books, Into The Wilderness is a book I've hear so much about that I am curious and Lady of The Roses by Worth is one I've been curious about. I have some vacation time coming up in September so hopefully I'll manage it this month. :-)

Thank you 5 Minutes for Books for hosting the What's On Your Nightstand challenge

  1. Hi:) For me, this summer has had me reading, yes, but not as much as I would have liked. I've got a few too many books started and although I've managed to read 5 books in the last two weeks- I now have to post my reviews. I feel like I'm soo behind! But hey, wait a minute...isn'this supposed to be a fun hobby?!

  3. Oh, I've been wanting to read The Guernsey Literary and Potato Pie Society for so long now, but I'm having difficulty getting my hands on a copy! I've heard it's a pretty quick read, so you should be in the clear for Bookclub. :)

  4. By the time I get around to 'Guernsey' everyone else will have read it. The rest of your stack looks interesting; I don't see any familiar titles. Enjoy!

  5. I just finished Guernsey yesterday and it was wonderful!

Your list looks great! I read a Heyer book a few months ago and really enjoyed it!

    Thanks for joining us!

  6. I was writing up my comment here and see that I was just about to say the same as Dawn - you have time to read it before the bookclub discussion and link that up too! =) It's a quick read!

Looks like some fun books there!

  7. Ms Lucy, I'm starting to wonder too. Fortunately I have some vacation time in September and hope to catch up with everything.

    Nise,
I'm glad to know you enjoyed, I really must start it soon!

    Morninglight Mama,
Thanks for reminding me, I'll definitely try to read it in time.

    Janet,
Thank you! At least you'll have a clear idea of the book when you get to it.

    Lisa,
Thanks for another good opinion of Guernsey. And I do so love Heyer!

    Carrie,
I'm decided to read it in time. :-)

  8. I am debating as to if I will read The Guernsey Literary and Potato Pie Society for the bookclub.
I have tried a Heyer book this summer, I did not enjoy it very much. I think it was her writing style. I may give her another go at latter point in time.

    Here is my Nightsand

  10. Ibeeeg,

Guernsey definitely seems to be a winner! Which Heyer did you read? I don't like them all equally but found some to be really fun.

    Katrina,
We'll have to compare note once we all read it.
