After reading the first book in this series I had the next ones on my radar and when I found this one I started it the same day. We get to know the h/h of this book in the previous so I  was already aware of their problems and the type of story.

The premise was good but again I felt a bit let down with how it was developed. being this a favourite theme I like to read about how a couple must work together, must talk and grow to solve their problems. Here I felt there was very little communication between those two for most of the story. There were too many things going on and being hidden from Alex to be completely believable and even should I suspend my disbelief I was a bit uncomfortable with the lack of communication between them.

I did like the secondary characters more in this story although I felt Nairna took too much in hand and one of Laren's problems was precisely that. Wanting to stay in the background too much and never obeying Alex's orders.

Other than that this was a very easy and quick read.
