What's On Your Nightstand?

Just saw this over at Marg's blog, who got it from 5 Minutes For Books and I thought it was a fun idea to do a monthly post!

The guidelines were:

1 - Take a picture or simply give a list of the stack of books that you are in the process of reading or planning to read (it might be on your nightstand, on a bookshelf, or like me, under your bed).

2 - Give short reviews of the book or books that you read that month.

3 - Tell about what you are reading and why. I love to read the backstory on books. Did someone give it to you? Are you trying out a new genre at the recommendation of a friend (or website)? Did you stumble across a new author in a used bookstore?

4 - Fill us in on your reading habits. When are you reading these books? Is one reserved for bedtime reading? Does one stay in your car to be read while you are waiting? Do you read just one book at a time?

I decided to start with a photo. I picked these because I thought I was going to read them soon but the truth it that they've been here a while. There's always some loaned book or some bookring that I need to hurry with and these just end up staying here. Of course I'll have to change that if I want to have a different photo to show next month! ;-)

Anyone else wants to show theirs? If so leave me a comment so I can go see them!

  2. I don't plan what books to read next, so it's difficult to post a photo. Maybe of my entire library?! :oP

How are you enjoying The Devil's Cub? I plan on reading it soon because I loved the prequel - These Old Shades.

    Fantasma,
Can you put your entire library in one photo? Somehow I doubt that eh eh ;-)

  4. I don't have anything on my nightstand, I usually pick what I'm going to read next when I finish what I'm currently reading.

From your pile I haven't read anything but I'm really really curious about the Doherty book!

  5. Thanks for joining in.

It is hard to know what to read next, and how to prioritize.

  6. I didn't know The Devil's Cub had a prequel :-p In fact, this is the first book I'm reading from this author. I started reading it but then I stopped. Not because I wasn't enjoying it but I just felt like reading something else.
