It was a great long weekend but we wanted to see so many things that we came back more tired than when we left. I'm definitely having some trouble getting back to the normal routine.
We saw many beautiful things, the usually busy atmosphere of a city crowded with locals and tourists enjoying themselves, the fabulous Prado and Reina Sofia Museums, the historic quarter, the Gran Via, the Park del Retiro and, since it was the first time I spent Easter in Madrid, I couldn't resist a peak at the Good Friday Procession and it was quite an experience!
Definitely a visit to repeat in the future!

On my next city vacation I am checking of the hotel has a sauna and jacuzzi so I can go there and relax after walking all day (this one did but I left my bathing suit at home... ). Okay...
